> 3g phone on another network

this does not have anything to do with a SE phone, but i have nowhere else to ask about it. my friend has a LG U8120 phone. he lives in australia and it was locked to the phone company 3. after unlocking it for use on the optus network, he was not able to use it for MMS/GPRS, etc. does anyone know how to fix this?

You will need to get the Operator to send the relevant settings for MMS and GPRS to the phone.

Optus won't be able to do it easily either. As the phone is not one of their supported phones, and because Optus is just, really really annoying if you arn't giving them money.
