I tried to get a k700i FW upgrade today at CPW. I thought it had all gone well, but at home realised that I had gone from R1C to R1A.

In desperation I tried the online Sony service which previously wouldn't work on Orange, and it did. I am now on R2AE033. It is much more stable, especially when using Bluetooth with PC Apps. The name search is also far better.

Not sure whether the update service is now OK for Orange UK, but if you get your FW put to R1A, it seems to work OK...
