You dont know something. If you hold left the joystick for a long time you got the first item from the shortcut list!

is there any way of configuing the 'hold right' function of the joypad? i find the 'find contact' function quite redundant seeing as how the up and down already give me access to the phone book

Afraid not, holding the joystick right is not configurable. I'm the same as you, don't find much use for the find contact and would prefer something else

well im just right now proving this tricks and yes the holding right jostick is not so good but yes it is good necessary holding left! and so well too with the touching by 3 seconds the jostick!
