Hi, just purchased the DSS-25 in order to upgrade the firmware on my Orange k700i. I'm thinking about upgrading it via Devinci, and wondered wether anyone could enlighten me on the following:
1) Does upgrading the firmware automatically unbrand the phone too?
2) Anyone on here selling those credits?
3) How do I know which upgrade file to use?

I think it does yes because the firmware will be generic and will not have any customisation files.

If you email Davinci they will give u a price which u can pay using paypal.
3) How do I know which upgrade file to use?
From what I know they are presented as a list on the screen when using divinci. You should at least select one with you main language which will probably be EN as u have an Orange K700. The rest is up to you.

Thanks for the replies. My current Orange firmware is recorded as RC001, although I wouldn't mind downgrading to extend the functionality of the phone.
Above Connection: do you accept direct bank transfer? I'll be using DeVinci software.

Why downgrade?
What I did with my Orange branded K700 was download the Davinci software and sent 619 a PM. I paid him $8 (came to £4.35) through Pay Pal (www.paypal.com) and then he emailed me with my credit the next day.
Got the Davinci software communicating with my DSS and downloaded the R2AE unbranded firmware and loaded it on to my phone.
The whole process seems a little daunting and maybe a little confusing at first but it really is easy once you've done it.
