> Strange Bluetooth-Problem - Please help!
Bookmark topic
Hi there...
Somehow I just manage to send one (1) file from my T68i to my laptop (Nokia DTL-4 Bluetooth ConnectivityCard) using bluetooth. When I trie to send another file, the phone wont find the laptop. Then I have to turn off and on the phone, and I can send another file. But just one!
Strange!!!???
I only experience this problem when sending files from the phone to the laptop using Bluetooth. With IR everything works fine, and there's no problems with DialUpNetworking and Syncronisation through Bluetooth. However, I can't send files directly from the BlueTooth-Software to the phone - but no problem with SendFile.
T68i (R2E006)
Nokia DTL-4 Bluetooth PCMCIA/CF (Bluetooth: 1.1. Software: 1.89)
Toshiba Laptop (Win 98)
Please help me out guys.....

@HC
Why don't you try to exit the XtendConnect Software if ever it was loaded in your system tray (right side, bottom part of screen). If the same problem occurs, try to change your nokia BT connector (knowing nokia as a producer of a "closed system" type of technology. In other words Nokia often times is only compatible to its own brand.
Never changed your T68i. Thats a jewel!
P.S.
But don't change your BT connector yet. Others here might still chance upon your query and some might prove to be more knowledgable than my reply.

I don't think that exiting Xtnd will solve the problem if a file can be sent again once the phone has been turned off then on.
I've noticed that the phone won't send to a BT device if there is a link already established between the two. It sounds like turning your phone off and then on again might be breaking the connection enabling you to send another file. Once you've sent to your laptop the first time, try waiting for a bit before trying again, or turning off your BT and then back on again. My USB dongle has a "link" led so that i know when there is an ongoing connection.
Don't know if this is the solution but it seems to work for me.
