Hi
Had a disaster with SEUS the other night, tried updating firmware and all seemed to go well until I rebooted the phone and now it flshes white continuosly.
Have tried recovery mode, automatic mode several times, no joy.
Bought a credit from davinci but problem is when my phone is in the DSS cradle and i power it on, davinci's client doesn't recognise it as powered on (light is on on cradle, phone still flashing whitescreen) so I can't flash it with original firmware.
reading through here I guess my GDFS file is fubar'd
Is there anywhere I can get a clean unbranded GDFS fil;e (my phone was bought without contract) or is the flashing whitescreen problem a job for the shop i bought itr from?

GDFS files should be in the davinci support area. Next time use setool, much better.

Unplug your DSS and close the Davinci client and download the DSS patch from the downloads section on
www.davinciteam.com and install it.
Plug your DSS back in and try again.
I had the same problem earlier which was solved by installing the patch.

I should have backed up but my phone won't power on fully at all...just a white flashing screen, sometimes goes to the phone unlock screen then the main screen for a split second then back to off then flashing white again !
Davinci does not recognise it as powered on when in the dss cradle

Dowloaded the file but still the same, "power on phone" avinci says, i do but it doesn't recognise it as such. (maybe cos it can't powerr on fully)
I suppose it's a return to seller job for me and never to return to SEUS again!
Anyone else have any ideas?

will setool work with Dss25?
Will it recognise my phone as powered on when davinci doesn't?
Does it sound as if i need to repair the gdfs file?

Well, Setool only suppports the T28 service cable and some usb cables, all of which are very cheap.
It sounds like your phone needs to be full flashed with Main firmware and Filesystem. Have not yet heard of a phone that cannot be repaired in theis way.

Did you disconnect the DSS and close Davinci before installing the patch?
I had the same problem with my DSS. Davinci knew it was there but wouldn't recognise the phone being powered on. I accidently installed the patch without disconnecting my DSS and it still didn't work but once I disconnected it and then installed the patch, it worked right away.
