What is the profile switch in the calendar function for? I have not come across this before?

if u have a private date and u dont want to be disturbed ( meeting, conference etc ) aslong it lasts, the fone will automaticall switch to the profile u choose before. lets say "divert all calls"

It helps the phone remind u as well it switches over to the new profile u had marked for meeting etc.

My phone doesn't have it... Either that or I can't find it!
It's no great loss- I have this feature on other (non-Sony Ericsson) phones and I don't really use it; I prefer to manually change profiles...
