> S700i.Yeah or Nah?

Have been offered a mint condition SE S700i for £250. The phone was a O2 contract phone and has very limited firmware (O2 icon and O2 logo on start up..cannot see anything else). The phone is unlocked so am thinking my Orange sim will slot straight in with no probs and Orange can either SMS or manually give me the new MMS and GPRS settings....is this correct?
I know the phone is genuine and was just not wanted so am very tempted....it is quite heavy and bulky but seems really nice and well built. So £250...what do you all reckon???

The screen is lovely on the S700i. I am made up with mine. They go for about £250 - £300 on ebay anyway so you won't be missing out on anything by taking the offer up.

The S700i definately seems to be a good phone but I don't know if it's worth the circa £400 price tag for the features it has considering you can get a P910 for just a little bit more which has a lot more features than the S700 (I know there's a lot more bulk with a P910 but in that price range, I think I'd take the P910 over the S700).
I've never actually tried the phone so I don't really know. This is just my opinion on information I've gathered myself.

This nonsense about the size of the S700 is just that, nonsense. I really do not find it to be especially large or cumbersome.
The screen is of a very high standard as are the pictures one is able to take with the camera. It has a broad range of features and the design is most fetching in my opinion.
The S700 is a fine choice.

The S700 is the best I've had out of the T68,P800,P900, K700 and even (for one day) the D500. It's not at all large because it swiftly becomes comfortable to hold. Due to the shape and balance when open it's not once tried to launch itself out of my hands.
The screen is superb and the handling is fast. The one thing I would change is the shutter rattle when playing sound but that's minor.
I agree with the positive comments. Superb and getting a lot of admiring looks. Pictures taken on this phone are fantastic quality, you won't find any better on another cam phone yet I'm certain of it.

I just sold my K700 and bought S700 and wow, what a great phone.
Not big at all and fits very nicely in the hand, the screen is awsome, the screen alone makes it a great buy.
The camera is great with alot of features to make good pics, changing the white balance and brightness for example..
Damn shame it cant handle more then 128mb cards but i have three 128s so i can bring me all music i need for a trip.
Well all i can say its the best phone i have tried.. and i have tried alot of phones..

I have a P910i and a S700i and think that hey are both amazing phones. I use my S700 a lot if I am going out as iy is a lot smaller than my p910. I would recommend either.
