Can anyone tell me the possible reason why the update service stops at 51% everytime and says error: in communication with device
I tried 5 times the same error is repeated

this is really annoying. first i cudnt update using the online servie, now when i figured out the problem and started updating it gives me this wierd error at 51%!!
can somone please help

Just leave it at 51% and go do something else.
It will complete but it just hangs for ages. You will wait and wait then all of a sudden it will jump to 97% and complete.

so the only option i get it to press ok after which the update is cancelled....
any idea whats the problem?thanks

Don't have an answer for you but could add that I have constantly had the same problem since I got the phone (few months ago). Have tried everything like different browsers, java versions, firewall settings, reinstall of the OS and PC Suite and so on.. Always the same problem.
This must be one of those things SE has to fix themself either at their server or in the PC Suite.
Fortunately there's a possibility of an update at a service centre.

i did bring this matter to SE center they say it is the developer's problem with faulty connection (the damn server)
and it has nothing to do with your phone or crandle.
just bring your phone to the nearest center to reflash it !!!

unforunately the nearest sevice from wer i live is few hours by flight!...

gack.. SonyEricsson's systems admin / web master must suck... half of their links are circular / have too many refs... the site really sucks. (looks nice, complete non functional)
