Im on Singlepoint (Vodafone) with Vizzavi settings on a T68i with MCA20 communicam, I can receive pop3 e-m@il from airmill.co.uk but cant send, my "fotofone" e-mail account worked for a day and i sent 3 e-mails with 5 attachments using wap, (7 mins to send) and then it stopped working,

I got the "fotofone" e-mail address from ericsson (by sending "MCA20" to +46701811010)

I couldnt receive e-mail from fotofone and now i cant send or receive anything, the e-mail attempts to send but 1/2 way through the attachments it bombs out, if i send an e-mail without an attachment it seems to send but at the last moment says e-mail failed,

Can anyone give me the settings to get e-mail working in two ways on vizzavi?

Ive tried Orange, Virgin & Mviva and they all seem to crash at the last moment.

FYI My settings for wap & e-mail for somebody to say "do this and it will work!!)

connecting using = vizzavi,

1 phone number = +447836900808
2 user id = user@vodafone.net
3 password = user
4 pword request = off
5 data rate = 9.6kbs
6 dial typr = isdn
7 dns address = blank

WAP Profile = Vizzavi

1 chg homepg = Vizzavi
2 Connect using = Vizzavi
3 IP address = 212.183.137.012
4 User id = blank
5 password = blank
6 data mode = conn oriented
7 Security = off
8 show pic = on
9 responce tim = 150

I received these settings by sending sms to +46701811010 containing "MCA20"
e-mail settings for fotofone (worked for a day, it appears to send but then says on the screen "send failed")
1 connect using = Vizzavi
2 protocol = pop3
3 inc server = comcam.xpedio.com
4 incoming port = 110
5 mailbox = test
6 password = **** (these were sent from sonyericsson)
7 outgoing server=comcam.xpedio.com
8 outgoing port = 25
9 email address = 447773550510-saicest@fotofone.com
0 download = headers+text
from name = blank
signature = no sig
copy outgoing = off
check inter = off

my working e-mail to receive pop3 but not to send???
1 connect using = vizzavi

3 inc server = pop3.airmill.co.uk

5 mailbox = am12977@airmill
6 password = (working password)
7 outgoing server = post.airmill.co.uk

Having read many messages on the subject elsewhere in the forum, I think you probably need to use Vizzavi's SMTP server (mail.vizzavi.co.uk or 062.213.128.092) in order to get your outgoing mail working.

It IS possible to other SMTP outgoing mail servers (other than Vizzavi, I have tried at least 2 others), but you need to make sure that it does not require authentication as the T68i does not have seperate settings for username and password for SMTP. As such, Mail.com and others that require SMTP authentication will not work with outgoing mail.

Having spoke to Voda they helped me set up vizzavi e-m@ail but it still only sends without attachments, my vizzavi e-mail settings are as follows

1. connect using - Vizzavi
2. Protocol - POP3
3. Incoming server- 062.213.128.080
4. Incoming port - 110
5. Mailbox - ban01tgaz
6. Password - (Working Password)
7. Outgoing Server- 062.213.128.092
8. Outgoing Port - 25
9. E-mail address - ban01tgaz@vizzavi.net
0. DSownload - Headers + Text
From Name - Gary Jones
Signature - No Signature
Copy Outgoing - Off
Check Interval - Off

Still the E-mail works to download from site, send without attachments and if i attempt to send an attachment it seems to send the message but says "Send Failed" after sending 3KB of the Attachment.

if ya read the UK Thread ull c why it stops after sending 3kb, thats the limit on data access placed by the uk networks, it can be upgraded though
