My P910a recently started showing the voicemail icon all the time. I can't get it to go away. I tried restarting the phone, calling the voicemail and clicking on the icon in flip open mode. My last resort was calling myself from another phone, leaving a message and then using my phone to check the message and erase it. The icon still won't go away.

Any suggestions?

Remove your voicemail number and then restart. Put it back again? (Just suggestion, a shot in the dark.) This message was posted from a K500

I can't seem to find the setting where my voicemail number is stored. I want to give your suggestion a try.

found the setting, changed it, restarted and the icon came back after about a minute. Apparently that setting only changes the number your phone dials to retrieve voicemails, not how it notifies you.

Er....are you sure its the voicemail logo? Might be a push message or something. This message was posted from a T230

Sad. :-( try a reset. (Settings if poss.) You will have to put everything back in, but still. This message was posted from a K500

it is without a doubt the voicemail logo, I know what they all look like, plus I can click on it in flip open mode and it says voicemail waiting.

I am going to call my service provider before trying a master reset, I have a feeling it is something to do with the network and not the phone, because it doesn't show up immediately after reset.

do you use cingular/att?? if so thats exactly why. cingulars network has been doing that on and off for a few months now, and it is the networks fault. it is just slow sometimes. texts arrive late sometimes too. this is all about the same network issue.

I do use cingular. I bet this is an after effect of adding the AT&T network and users.
