I have a P900 which I would like to use to access the office internet connection. The problem is that the nearest PC with internet access is about 25m away - out of the P900's range.
If I put 100m USB dongles on the internet-connected PC and the one in my office (not internet-connected), will I be able to access the internet, or do I need to do something else to set up a network to relay the connection between my P900 and the internet-connected PC via my office PC?

That would require your PC to have two separate bluetooth connections simultaneously. Is that possible?

99% of bluetooth dongles for pc`s allow 8 simultanious bluetooth connections.

even so, you'll be able to recieve the data being sent from the PC, but the phone's 10M range will be too short and won't be able to transmit anything.
Data needs to go both ways.. otherwise it just ain't gonna work.

djkizlive: I think antman was talking about bluetooth-connecting his phone to his nearby pc and then using 100m range dongles to connect that pc to the one with an internet connection.
I think it should work. Although getting all the settings right so that the internet connection is shared all the way through to the phone could be anywhere from "oh look, it just works" to a complete nightmare!

Oh buddy , this is exactly what I am doing for over a year now. Bluetooth is king when it comes to internet and sharing and cellphones.I have adsl on my pc , which is connected to my laptop about 30m away and here I connect my cell ! All bluetooth.I also have a mini bluetooth mouse for my laptop and my sony trv-80 is connected to my laptop as is my wife's cell. The pc's dongle is custom changed to a amplified aerial (6db signal boost with a coresponding hi discrimination front end filter) The result : I can connect to the network from about 800m away with my laptop and 150m with my cell.I don't say you must do the same but yes it can be done.

Thanks for all your responses. Of course I've since wondered why I would want to connect to the internet on my phone when I can use the bluetooth to use my office PC.

@mario: you said you boosted the signal, i'm aware of this and i've seen it done before (sometimes with pringles boxes!) but no matter how much u pump up the bluetooth signal if your phone has only a 10m range, then....thats still your range 10m? I'm pretty sure thats how it works so you still got to be 10 m away from your bluetooth access point rite?
