check
this topic out.
There has also been some talk about an adapter that has a mic inline that you can plug your own headphones into, might be in that topic as well. If it isn't, I don't know where to find it.

I had a conversation with someone yesterday at Shure (www.shure.com) about this very subject.
They are considering launching a line of QuiteSpot headphones with an in-line mic to compliment their current line-up of superb earbuds, which I used with my HBM-30 bluetooth MP3 player until I got my P910.
Hopefully we will see something from them soon.

There wouldn't really be much difference between those and modifying your own..

could you please explain what an "in-line" mic is? is it simply a mic on the headphone cable to allow speaking?
@djkizlive: how would the modification be done? is there any risk of damaging the phone?

yes, inline mic is just a mic that is wired into the headphone cables.
There is next to no risk of damaging your phone by modding your headphones. However, if done improperly it could render your headphones or your handsfree kit worthless.

To support the previous comment, there's little or no risk of causing any damage to the handset from the handsfree kit modification.
The old earbuds are taken off the cable, and the new earbuds of your choice are professionally soldered onto the cable, and thoroughly tested for continuity.
There is no further modification to the cable, mic, or 2.5mm plug, therefore it will work just the same as it did before, except there will be earbuds which you prefer on the end, leading to a much better experience with the Pxxx, should you not be satisfied with the current earbuds.
The old SE earbuds will of course be sent back to you for your safekeeping, and should you be dissatisfied with the new earbuds, i will re-solder the original SE earbuds back on to the original cable for you (providing postage costs are covered)
Hope this helps. If i can interest you in this service, then please feel free to PM me or send me an e-mail.
Regards,

The new symbian UIQ 9 will support stereo headsets. Question is. Would there be an upgrade path available for current UIQ users?
