Hi all

I turned my phone on today and after the normal O2 Welcome animation with the bubbles etc it just hangs!

The screen kinda disolves into horizontal lines and then the backlight fades and nothing...you can still just make out a currupted image of the O2 logo but nothing else.

Is there anything I can do to sort this out?

the 'corrupt' image you are seeing is just the screen retaining some of the data that was sent to it last. Even though you can still see the O2 logo on the screen, the phone is actually off.

Sounds to me like the operating system is crashing when you turn the phone on. I suggest you do a Restore firmware update from the SE Website. If you haven't got a backup of your data then that's just tough!

Let me know how you get on with that.

Hi all

Okay, how do I do the firmware thing?

I'm not too bothered about loosing the data...I'm more concerned with my phone not working (with no insurance!)

www.sonyericsson.com/support, you need your docking station plugged in and the phone suite installed...
