can anyone confirm that the issues with this and the p910 have been resolved? I am looking at trading my p900 for a p910, but found that the 910 will not connect to most blutooth car kits either.

it works 'somewhat' better than a P900, but it sometimes will not work for no reason and the next call it works again!
I had a few times on my P910 with my BMW BT following:
P910 display shows option "transfer to handsfree" while the car keeps ringing but doesn't react when you pick up using the car pickup button.
P910 rings & car rings, car picks up but you don't hear anything and other side neither!
P910 correctly sends to car the call, but then signal is abruptly cut off, and now way you can recover the call even by using the P910...call lost.
P910 disconnects for no reason, causing to ring on P910 only and car sits there doing nothing at all.
and sometimes it works as it should (about 50%)
SMS & phonebook (plus speed dial) do NOT work AT ALL
With my T610/630, the success rate of calls is 99%, and SMS & phonebook support on the car's TFT in all it's glory
SE really fecked up again with this... grrrr

very embarrassing. you pay a lot for the top of the line smart phone and yet phones people are getting for free can do what the p900/p910 can not.
very short sighted on SE's part too. the same people that buy the pxxx phones are the same ones buying the higher end cars with the gadgets in them like Bluetooth handsfree.

it is the first generation of P series phones to have the handsfree profile. I wouldn't expect it to work perfectly on the first try.

is good about firmware releases, maybe the problem will be sorted out down the line a little bit.

Well, how good SE is with firmware upgrades is debatable. I have a P910a, which has yet to have a single firmware upgrade for it.
Conversely, the Palm Treo 650 (which I'm considering buying) came out after the P910, and Palm has already put out a car/bluetooth update. As SE chooses not even to acknowledge that they're doing anything about the issue, I don't know that I'd give them any kudos in this regard.
