er..yeah, does it backup every single thing on your phone, like.. messages, themes, even minute stuff like temporary internet files, cache?

try making a backup, then change the calander a little bit and the smses and the other things that you asked about, then try to restore, then you will see if it backs it up! If the files will be like it was when you did the backup (befor the edit that you make)

I beleave it backup everything........ I had taken a backup before my firmware upgrade..... and after doing the upgrade i restored the backup and got all my settings, favorites, sms, user applications etc

This is mentioned in the phones manual. Read it!

If I remember it right it says that it backs up everything except the recordings and settings for voice-control.
