> Buying V800 in Sweden, when from Norway ?
Bookmark topic
I'm from Norway and going for a little trip to Sweden next week (V800 not available in Norway). Was wondering if anyone could tell me the policy of buying the V800 if you're not from Sweden. I see that there are different levels Vodafone sells the V800. The most 'expensive' seems to be one without a binding contract, except that it locks the phone to Vodafone for 12 months (easy to fix). But do the store still require you to prove that you are an existing Vodafone customer (something I'm definitly not).
Short version: Will I be able, as Norwegian, to buy a V800 in Sweden without an existing Vodafone contract ?

Don`t think so! I think you have to have a adress in Sweden in order for such a purchase.
I tried to buy a Z1010 some months ago in Swedenm and that was impossible.
I bought my V800 from a guy here at esato.
Unlocked it, and unbranded it. Works perfect!!

If you buy it without a contract no one will ask you what to do with it, and if they for some reason would just tell them that you have a voda prepaid sim to use with it, anyone can buy a prepaid sim as you dont have to register for it.
But the phone wont be cheap sim free...
And on contract you probably can't buy as Norwegian just sim free for about 4500sek i think.

The V800 will be avalable in Norway in March but under the name Z800.
If you can wait till then, and sign up for the Esato deal, I'm pretty certain you'll get a very good deal.

Thanks for the replies. Seems I do have a some chance buying it. But I would like to get an unbranded Z800 if it comes out. Would be easier to make the choice without the silent treatment from SE.
To tranquil: Do you have any idea when/if SE manages to put out some official info on a Z800, if that's what it will be called ?
