Hi,

Ive previously used total multi server to debrand and flash a Z1010 to the newest R1K010 firmware.

The total multi server firmware has some sort of customisation in it which prevents me using the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS).

My firmware details are as follows:

R1K010
prgCXC 125432_EU_1_V

ITP SW version
CXC 125 631 R1K

Customisation
CDA102286/0 R2A
cxc 125677 1E0W
EU_1

Is there a way to "fully debrand" a z1010 so that there is no customisation in it?

Does debranding with setool have this customisation in their firmware?

I understand it would be easier to just use total multi server or setool again for firmware updates, however I would like to use the SEUS with my DSS-25 sync station.

Thanks in advance.

I think SEUS uses an IMEI database to find out which batches of phones are branded and which aren't therefore you're phone will always be recognised as a branded phone by SEUS.

The SEUS looks at the CDA number of the phone, there are a list of blocked CDA's, do a search and you will uncover the thread about it. It is possible Multiserver had given you a CDA which is blocked.

Ive heard that you can use setool to change your CDA and customization details so you can use SEUS.

Is this correct?

You can use one credit with Setool then change the CDA to one that will enable you to use the update service.

Its easy with setool
