My K700 has R2AE033 firmware. From what i read on K700 firmware overview (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=66330) the latest firmware version for my phone is R2AG001 Released on EMMA II (8/1/05).

When I connected my mobile on my DSS-25 SyncStation and run the Sony Ericsson Update Service, the message is that i am using the latest firmware.

Whats wrong?

EMMA II is the server that the service centres use for their updates. Its not the source for updates online

what you have is still the latest available to us on the online update

That explains it. Thank you.

Is there any plan, when they are going to stop releasing firmware updates? Or when they will consider a mobile phone, too old to bother creating firmware updates for it?

we mere mortals never know such things in detail but they do eventually stop updating firmware. for example, there has been no update for the T610 for a very long time and its starting to look like the P900 has run its course of updates
