Hi, I've got a P800 and the Sim Card 'Holder' with the metal contacts on it has broken away from the motherboard of the phone...

Can this be fixed? It looks to me as though it can be soldered back on - would SE be able to do this??? And any rough guesses on how much it'd set me back. I'm going to use the Hayes Repair Centre (I think that is the name of it?!) that SE gave me the number for, and might get a firmware upgrade when it's there!

Hmmm..con't really say how much it would set you back. I'm in a different country you see! Best option would be to take it to them and let them judge by the condition of the phone. If its repairable, i would advise you to fix it and then sell it off. This message was posted from a T230

Fix then sell off? Is this because you'd rather have P900 because it is the better phone?

I'll have to try and get a good price for it when sold then get a P900 from good old ebay!!
