I'm thinking about dumping my P910 in favor of a new (GSM) Treo 650.
Let me start by saying I prefer the hardware of the P910, and even the software (when it works). The real reason I'm planning to switch is because of the absolutely horrible support SE provides for this phone. I had a P800, P900, and now P910. The P910 (still) doesn't integrate correctly with the built in Bluetooth on my BMW, and SE has yet to give any indication that they will ever fix it.
Palm, on the other hand, came out with the Sprint Treo 650 several months after the P910, which likewise didn't work with most car Bluetooth systems, and they have already provided a firmware upgrade to fix it.
I'm tired of the lukewarm support SE provides for their expensive, flagship, product which they seem determined to run into the ground. I'll miss some things from the P910, to be sure. But overall, I think I'll be happier with a larger support base.
Anyone have any suggestions or good reasons I shouldn't do this?
Just curious...

A treo 650 is a good phone. Even the size is small. I suggest: Go for it.

@macgyver
There are two pieces of advice I will give to you.
1.) Use the handset that will work best for you, if it is the P910 then fine, but if you are having problems with it, which cannot be resolved, then perhaps you should consider a different product.
2.) If you are anything like your namesake you should be able to solve the problem you are having using a piece of chewing gum.

@scotsboy....chewing gum !
@macgyver sounds like you have come to a point where the p910 isn't doing it for you, sounds like a change maybe needed as convincing you otherwise of the p910's good points is probably not going to be of much use as you own one already and would already have a view on that.
Sounds like you've done your research and are happy with the spec offered by the Treo 650 therfor perhaps you should just go for it.

Ugly and then it comes with an outside antenna... I'd stick with the P910i any day!

He doesn't care what it looks like. If the P910 hasn't been able to do what he wanted, he's got every right to replace it!

I guess I'm shallow too. I hate the big fat antenna. It looks so nineties to me...

What I'd do? Get the Treo, of course, if only for the sake of a fresh, different experience. ;-) The fun of walking new ground!

I'm in the same camp. Had a Treo 370 which got broken. Decided to go for the P910 rather than wait for the Treo650 - big mistake. I have not yet got the damn thing to synchronise reliably with Outlook. Entries are either lost, not transferred or duplicated. That's when I go through the hassle of having to switch to Outlook as my e-mail default (despite not wanting to synchronize e-mails) otherwise it gets itself in a real mess. Oh for the simple life of drop the Treo in the cradle, push the button, wait, pick the Treo up and go. No chance of sorting the P910 out when SE don't even bother to reply to support e-mails. I'm about to send mine back as unfit for purpose and get myself the Treo instead
Just my $0.02
(no its not a troll, just a very very disappointed owner)
