> Upgrading Orange unbranded phone on SEUS
Bookmark topic
I flashed my K700i using Davinci last week to R2AE to get rid of the Orange branding but it's been buggy. I've come back to the phone quite a few times and found it on a blank white screen and won't respond. Has crashed while using it twice too.
Instead of buying a credit to flash again I thought I'd use SEUS but I was wondering how SEUS checks what firmware should be on the phone.
Does it check by CDA or IMEI? I don't want to end up back on the Orange firmware and I've heard a couple of different things about how it checks up the phone.
If I flash my Orange K700 on SEUS after using Davinci to go to unbranded firmware, is it going to load the branded firmware back on or stay unbranded?

Hi Kris,
The short answer is that it just won't work. SEUS checks the CDA
and the IMEI against the database, and since yours will now not match (generic CDA and branded IMEI) it will not let you update. You need to get the updates done at a Service Centre that uses EMMAII.
Hope that helps

I did try SEUS last night and it got to the stage where it actually loads the firmware on to the phone and then came up with a Communication Error.
Should I have been able to get this far?
