> TZONES dead on P900
Bookmark topic
Without changing the settings or the phone in any way, My TZONES has stopped working. The internet browser works fine connecting to other pages but the TZONES page or wap.myvoicestream.com is dead. The data meter appears to load and then resets to zero again and again and again, and so far Tmobile's infantile customer service have told me to power cycle and asked me if I ever made doody in my pants before. Idiots. I need the whizkids of Esato to help me with this one.
NOTE: This is not related to the last problem where TMOBILE needed you to upgrade in order to surf with Opera.

After speaking to an advanced tier 2 tech rep, they finally were able to confirm that there is a server outage with TZONES right now. There is no confirmed time for it to be back up as it is a major failure and has been going on for days now. If at any time us TMOBILE users feel screwed, we can call into Customer Care (stifles a laugh) and request compensation minutes. They awarded me 50 minutes and said you can call in and request 50 free minutes for every day of missed service on TZONES. So for everyone who has this problem, call in get your minutes! Don't let TMOBILE get away with this! I swear to heavens it's like they're AT&T now or something.

i know this isn't the t-mobile opera problem but have you tried using the ol' proxy trick on ur browser?
use t-mobile's own proxy to get internet: 216.155.16.50/8080
that might just do the job, worth a try if u ask me

I tried this, but it just times out after about a minute. So far SE couldnt help (they never could) and Tmobile is baffled as well. All my settings are correct, I just dont understand this.

tmobile finally got back to me with a concrete answer and I quote:
"There is currently a major service outage in the greater Los Angeles area. This can affect all different models in all different ways and failed access to TZONES is one of our most common complaints right now. Rest assured our engineers are working night and day on this issue and should have your service restored sometime before March. If you have not received your courtesy 50 minutes of talk time for this issue please call customer service and do so. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for choosing Tmobile."
Well with all my faith in service providers, engineers working day and night roughly translates to a rousing game of texas hold em and drinking coffee.
I'll just have to keep bashing my head in and wait.
