> How to upgrade firmware in t610/t630 and k500i

Hi there
Just wondering if its at all possible to upgrade the firmware in my k500i or my mothers t630 by myself.
Got the dss-25 and dcu-11 if that helps.
If its possible to do, a short explanation would be greatly appreciated

well i think you need a t28 service cable to upgrade the firmware in the k500i and you will have to by some credits from a company like setool if you want to do it yourself or you could take it to a shop and have it done.

If they're under warranty you can get it done for free through through a service center or over the SE site.
There are also sites like
www.setool.net and
www.davinciteam.com you can use to flash your phone but you need to buy credits.

k700i can be updated thru "seus", but k500i cannot as far as I know.
but I think k500i can be updated thru setool and the likes.
was hoping it could be done without having to pay for it, and I was hoping to not have to find a service center and have to go there, or send my phone away or whatever.
anyone tried to upgrade fw in k500i thru the internet and dss-25?

im going to take my phone to a shop and upgrade the firmware.some shops may do it free if your phone is under warranty. even if you have to pay to upgrade the fw it is still worth it and i have not tried upgrading my k500i through the internet but i have read somewhere that it wont work.
