Having followed word for word the excellent tutorial put up a few weeks ago regarding mpegable, I have just converted a 4.95MB WMV file to an MP4 and its managed ot convert it to be twice the orinigal size, so its noe 8MB!?
How does that work then? I know roughly how to use mpegable anyway but used the settings as described in the tutorial and I get a huge file!? Has anyone else seen that before?
(296x192, 250Kbps bitrate and 64kbps sound used FYI.)

You are using higher bitrates than the .wmv file. Reducing both video and audio bitrates shouldn't make a significant difference to the quality of the .mp4 file (coz you can't increase the quality above that of the .wmv file).
