This is REALLY starting to annoy me now. The latest phones that Sony Ericsson released were, in my opinion, OVER priced, or crap.
The J200, T290i, S700i and V800 were all great, but either too expensive (still are) or not the best array of features i.e. rubbish.
I mean, Siemens, Nokia, Samsung, Sharp are ALL releasing phones like all the time, and they ALL are not too expensive and all have reasonably good features!
I want a 250 pound Sony Ericsson with expandable memory, possibly flip, and there is nothing. Please
hurry your damned selves up

The V800 and the S700/710 are very spendy indeed. You are right on that. I can get a P900 for less and be happier. Hopefully we will see better values this year from SE.

I understand where your coming from. It certainly is an event when they release a handset. CeBit isn't that far off. The S700 and Z1010 where showcased at last years. So fingers crossed. . .

I think I will buck the trend and disagree with the original poster. SE have released very good handsets over the past year and whilst some of them have been rather expensive, they have seen SE grow stronger and be recognised, even more so that it already was, as a manufacturer who releases high quality products, which primarily compete at the top end of the market.
SE have never released many handsets in any particular year, those that they do release are usually of a very high standard and have enough features to appeal to a broad range of customers who are looking for medium to top-end handsets.
I have been quite pleased with what SE have released over the last year and I look forward to more top notch products in the coming year.

no, I am happy with what we see now though I think they have yet to hit the perfect quality they we'd all like to see from the joining of Sony and Ericsson, but it will come.
lets just wait and see what they come up with in a months time and hope that they have been a little more secretive this year compared with last year so that we really do get some nice surprises

One of the reasons I like SE so much is that they don't try and keep up with the othe rmanufacturers. In my opinion this is for a very good reason, they set the pace for the other manufacturers.
SE take time and produce good quality products, I wouldn't have a smuch respect for them if they released handset after handset just to ensure that they had a smany on the market as Nokia or Samsung.
