The p800 play both imelody format and real soundfiles(wav,au,amr)
ex: wav is pcm (pulse code modulation) sampled at 22,050khz in 8 bit mono.. (the sample rate can be altered but its recomended to use the 22khz) and its ok course it will theoretically provide a Ft (higest frequenz that can samples and be playd back) at 10khz..

A the P800 is going to be a mini PDA, i do hope that GPS software/hardware will become available. Its becoming popular on the full size PAD's from Compaq and Palm, so it would be great for the P800. Screen might be a bit small though. It would also be cheaper then having GPS factory fitted to your car, which here in the UK costs a minimum of Ģ800.

Since P800 is implementing Symbian OS open-platform, I think that we will see many useful applications released for this phone since well, anyone with interest and energy can make programs and maybe make some money on it too.
For some time ago, an Esato member raised the issue of the keypad on the P800 and how ugly it is. But hey, the keypad is removable, which means that it wouldn't take long before third party makers release their own stylish P800 keypads that we can exchange to instead. The possibilities are endless!
P800's gonna be a great phone, a milestone in mobile-history!

almost like Friendfinder but on the phone....
But if p800 can handle html will it be possible to access internet?
Would be cool with a w-lan accessory

I don't think you will see a lot of applications for the P800 because the SDK for it costs 1500$. Hence, no freeware apps and games, and very little (if any) shareware. The rest of the software will just be too expensive because companies will have to get back the money they spent on the SDK (and the rest of SE crap). Enthusiasts just can't afford it to make cheap or free software for this phone. What a shame...
There will be a lot more applications for the Nokia 7650 and future Nokia, Siemens and Panasonic smartphones since they are all based on Nokia's Series 60 Platform which has a free SDK.
I don't think I'll buy the P800 because of this (memory stick duo will be very expensive too compared to e.g. MMC of the same size). I think I'll just wait for the next Nokia smartphone which will probably outspec even the P800.
