I'v got a P910i, which I brought aboout two months back.
It was great for the first month.

Then I starting seeing that it really didn't do much for its BIG PRICE TAG.

I got this phone mainly to do the following: Play some good games, carry my shedule around, check my mail, surf online, listen to some music, watch the ocassional full length movie.

I was unable to use the PDA features to the fullest, surf online nicely (even with opera), play any good games, but I was able to listen to some music, and watch the occassional full length movie. But thats about it! If I wanted to do that i'd have got some s60 phone instead.

Stuff That Makes me Regret Buying The P910i :-
1. I'm unable to properly sync with outlook
2. Browsing is shit slow.
3. No great games ( If they are good, they've got crap controles... Playing V-RALLY with onscreen controles? I don't think so)
4. No Wi-Fi, I'v got Wi-Fi setup at my home as well as my school, so i'd like to take advantage of that. I wouldn't mind getting an expansion card, but it ain't possible.
5. Mem Stick Duo's are really expensive as compaired MMC cards.

But still; the p910i is just tooo good lookin'

I'm considering the i-Mate Jam, but i've heard a new version is coming out soon? (can anyone confirm this?) I know it don't have wi-fi but i'll be getting that Wi-fi + 256mb card for it.

Does anyother i-mate apart from the Jam have a mega pix cam?

Q1. I'm now thinking about selling this and getting a PPC. Which is currently the best Pocket Pc Mobile?

Q2. Do I have applications like Magic Profiles Pro for Windows Mobile OS? I really live on that app.

Q3. Can anyone point me to some nice games for Windows Mobile OS? How're the controles like? The graphics?

Q4. Can anyone tell me what would I exactly be loosing out on if I got for one of the i-Mates Apart from the phone form factor?

Q5. Who thinks that switching to a PPC Phone is a good idea?

You're better off buying individual devices with the concerns that you listed above. You already made that point in your first paragraph.

My Advice:

FYI: I-mate is not worth tossing the P910 aside for - It will lead you to boredom with its mediocrity... A solo move towards the Win OS platform is a very dark place.. Don't let it suck you in..

When purchasing the 'right' all-in-one device you will always find something lacking in it that will drive you to get the next best thing or an additional device with that trivial feature you so anxiously coveted. My line of thinking for getting the ultimate all-in-one device has lead me to this just in the past 3 yrs alone..

P800, P900, P910i, S700i, XDA III, I-mate, HP PPC (w/ BT & Wi-Fi), (couple Asian mobile phones), Sony PSP.

I have learned to cope with the fact that I will never have a shot at getting what all these devices have - bundled into one package. With that said, I convinced myself that I couldn't live without those trivial features (gaming, wireless connectivity,a/v media playback,productivity,camera,etc..) each of those devices bear. Nonetheless, I didn't think any of them possess zero value for its cost The need was always greater then the cost.

The bottom line is that you will never be satisfied with what you have. Especially when you find out that you don't exactly have the latest toy on the block despite whatever ridiculous $$$ you might have thrown at it. Serve your needs first even if it means getting more then one device to do it...

PS: You might want to try a M$ board for questions regarding any M$ platform driven software m8..

why did you buy a p910 for gaming, lol?the p910 browser is VERY FAST indeed.s60 are unbeatable when it comes to apps/games...but have you tried speed browsing on one?the ngageqd and 6600 are sluggishly slow.can't beat the 910....it's top notch. This message was posted from a P910

@ billy

i dont blame you, i felt the same way when i bought my 1st pda fone the p800, lol the 1st month was pretty cool, then it when down the hill, now that i have got the i-mate jam its been more than a month, i am still loving it to the max, to be honest with you i have never been happier than the i-mate jam although it cost me £400 i have never looked back and said to my self that this was a misstake, coz there is just soo much entertainment and possibilities.

A1 the best PPC is the i mate jam, its small even smaller than the p910 and its fast, its open to all conectivity, and the battery power is brilliant, i have gotten 2 days standby with 3 hours talk time.

A2 i dunno, but i think you can, better ask the main man massuer.

A3 there you go mate all the free software and games that will last you forever http://www.howardforums.com/s[....]a7da6f12d8ef6d&threadid=274092

A4 you wont be losing out on nothink. lol and thats the truth.

A5 i will garantee you that you will love the i-mate jam just like i did, coz i am the kinder guy who gets bored with phones very quickly, but not with my jam, i have been playing with it since december 18th 2004, because the i-mate jam doesnt restrict me what ever i want to do, there are great software and games and easy to rip films onto it, and a 1gig sd card only costs £70 at www.expansys.com

I didn't get the P910i for gaming... I got it for the ocassional game . Browsing may be faster than s60 phones, but still not as fast as one wants it to be.

@ Locoworks: My P910i is not locked, I'm interested, mail me at bilawalsidhu@gmail.com with the details.

@ Upper: Is browsing on an i-mate faster that UIQ phones? such as the p910?

This maybe a stupid question, but which is better the Jam or the XDA IIs or MDA III?

mmm to be honest i dunno which ones is faster in browsing but my fone is a 416mhz speed poressor, maybe that will say it all, i never had the p910 you see only the p800 and that was slow lol, but i hear as well the p800 and p910 have the same cpu, so i guess that should be slow too if i am not misstaken, when you say browse you do mean browsing on the internet, right

billy i would say the i-mate jam is better, because although they have same OP system the jam has a speacial cpu which uses less power without losing performance, so which means the battery lasts much longer than the others, and it also comes with a phone pad software which allows you to input numbers and letters using your thumb, so you wouldn't have to take out your stylus pen out all the time, thats also one of the reasons why i bought it too, check out the pic. its a so called one handed operation.

After having just trashed my SidekickII phone with T-Mobile, and getting a P910i, here are my thoughts.

1. If you think the P910i's browsing is slow, you haven't seen a sidekick.
2. If you think the P910i has few apps, you haven't used a sidekick.

The high pricetag of the P910 is well worth it in my opinion. Just being able to sync with a laptop is worth it again..

I looked up some info about some info bout these i-mates (jam and PDA2k's) and i'v seen that some users complain about bad battery life, struggle with windows coz it crashes a lot, bad audio quality?

Is this true??!!
