It's easier than it seems.

Have you got a credit and a DSS-25 or T28 cable and the Davinci Client?

If so, all you have to do is put in your login details and click the Flash tab button. Click "Get Files From Web" and select R2AE (which version of R2AE is up to you, it depends where you're from and what languages you want). Make sure you've got "Get Main Firmware" and "Get File System" checked and then just click to download them.

Once they've downloaded they'll appear in the appropriate boxes in the Davinci client. Make sure the "Main Firmware" and "File System" boxes are checked You don't have to worry about the language box) and the radio button is selected to make finalization. Then all you have to do is click "Flash".

Make sure you've got a good charge left in the battery and the phone is connected but turned off. Once you click the "Flash" button to start flashing the phone it'll ask you to turn on the phone and then flashing will start. Don't worry if you get an error the first time. It's happened to me on every occasion. All you need to do is disonnect the phone and remove and reinsert the battery and start again.

thanks for the guide excellent but it keeps on saying power on the phone and i have i have a dss-25 and using the devinciteam server i know it works because the PC and can sync the phone...so what am i doing wrong?

It is on com port 3, change it get the files and it says power on phone do that and it doesn't work power on the phone...

please help :0(

When it says power on the phone, u dont power it on completely. All you have to do is press the power button, BUT NOT HOLD IT like you always power up your phone.

Before you do the flash, make sure you check CID. If you have ICQ, you can always contact them & they will guide you step by step. Check on the davinciteam contacts page for the ICQ numbers.

Thanks got it working once and then i couldn't get it working again do you really have to keep taking out the battery everytime it doesn't detect it?

Also i did get it working it said on need cid29? when i look at the list cid29 is for the Z1010 not k700i the k700i is k700r2ae_main for the Uk and FS as well...

please advise...if not i will contact them via icq ...

CID 29 is perfect. I got that too.

For the battery, you dont have an option but remove it each time.
