Hi ive set up my email but it just doesnt respond..just times out.
Im only conected via WAP is this the problem?

You need to connect with different settings than those used for regular wap. You should set up a specific gprs profile on your phone for retrieving email. e.g. I am on Vodafone UK and the settings I use are:
APN: internet
Username: web
Password: web
etc...
Contact your network and they should be able to give you the info. Or perhaps you can find the settings for your provider using the search
