> P910 Vibrating Alert Strength - Weak
Bookmark topic
Just bought a p910i and I find the vibrating alert strength to be quite weak (especially in comparison to some of my earlier Nokia phones). In a loud evironment (a bar/pub/club/car with music on), I can barely feel the phone when it is in my pocket. When placed on a desk and the phone rings, the vibrate doesn't cause the phone to move in any way, and barely makes a noise against a wooden desk. Is this normal, or is this an indication that I have a faulty vibrate? Just wondering what others' experiences are? And is there any way to increase the vibration?
Thanks.

I find the p910 vibrate alert adequate...But not quite as effective as any nokia's vibrate.

no matter, i find the vibrating integrated on p910i enough. max. vibration with minimum sound, this is better i think instead of vibrating as much as the phone will drop from the corners or make sound that will alarm everyone besides me

Mine BARELY makes it acceptable. No complaints but I wish it was even just slightly stronger. This feature is where I look to my ex-P800. It was quite noticeably stronger.

Doubtless, Nokia phones vibrate more than SEs. But is that good? I think my 910i's vibration is sufficient.

Well one thing I remember from a friend who had a nokia was that his phone had to be serviced for some strange problem. Eventually, the problem was traced to a solder coming off which was further traced to when the phone was left to charge and as it would receive texts/calls, the phone was set to vibrate. It turned out, as it charged, the phone got normally warm/hot which made the obviously ill-soldered part/s to break off. Strange, but logical, I guess..
Nokia's have far stronger vibras.
