Hey,
My k500i is begining to work wierd. It says "optimised Charging" and remains like that for a long time even after unplugging the charger.
It stays like for atleast 3-4 mins before getting to normalcy.
Can anyone tell my why this happens and what I shud do to make sure the fone is working well. Not sure if the firmware is updated too.

Switch the phone off for a few minutes and then back on. If that doesn't solve, try a master reset. Reset settings not the reset all one! If that doesn't work you probably need to load a newer firmware.

First thing I do when one of my phones start acting up is take out the battery and put it back in. That have solved a few worries for me.
Try that first and if it doesn't change anything; drop by a Service Point for a SW upgrade.
