> Your first tryst with a cellphone!

Mobile phones have become such a common part of our lives nowadays, haven't they? But there surely must have been a time when this technology was in its infancy. Does anyone remember, the first time they handled a cellphone? I'm a pretty late entrant in the cell phone fraternity, but i know many members have been using cellphones for ages! Do you remember the first time you used it? What did you feel then? Share some experiences! Nostalgia! Sorry if anything like this has been discussed earlier!

First time i used i phone was like 10 years ago or more and it was my dad's motorola super brick, i was too young to care about that. Ive been using cellphones 5 years (motorola - siemens - nokia - ericsson and SonyEricsson).
At first i didnt care cellphones, i thought they were kind of useless now i literallly cant go anywhere without it.

I was probably about 14 or 15 or so when I first handled a mobile. It was some old Mitsubishi analogue thing, which was surprisingly small for the time (but still quite large by today's standards). I think it was on Vodafone, and it was my dad's. I'd gone to a friend's birthday party, and was given the phone to borrow for the evening so I could phone to be picked up when the party finished.
Mobiles were still relatively rare back then, and it made me feel quite 'big' to have a mobile! It drew a bit of attention, and I was forever getting the phone out and looking at it, I was fascinated by the bars indicating the signal! People kept commenting on it too, I felt quite the centre of attention at times!

It was an old motorola, and it was also about 10-11 years ago, in the days when insted of a sim "chip" u had to use a sim card (the size of a credit card).
