> Problems with email.please help

I really need your help. I changed my hosting package a few days ago, therefore changing my email system as well. Before I had no problem connecting to the IMAP server downloading my emails and folders. But now I am having problems. It connects no problem and when I do it in POP3 it works but when i do it in IMAP it says it is downloading the emails for instance 2 of 2 (which is how many are in my inbox) but then it does not show up! When i go to subscribe to folder nothing comes up either. My email is IMAP compabitble because it works like that through outlook......any ideas would i would be forever grateful! I really do not want to change back to the other hosting company.

...ok i found out something, it does not actually download the emails, instead it is downloading...and then the GPRS connection disconnects with no warning or anything...any ideas? I am on Voda UK.

Nope i found out that it is a problem with the P910i, i have tried it with 2 P900s and they both work. I then tried it with mine P910i and also my brother in law one, and both did not work. I was hoping that the new update would have sorted this problem, but unfortunatly not.

I expirience the same problem with my P910i. POP3 works fine, but IMAP just says downloading messages, but nothing appears in a Inbox. I've the lattest firmware installed. Seems like a bug in P910 IMAP implementation. ProfiMail from Lonelycatgames works fine with my IMAP inbox.

What email software are you using and is the phone an 800 900 910 or what?
My thrashing around with the built in email client on all three makes me think that imap is not handled very well by the inbuilt software.
i use Profimail on my 910i which works well with imap (usual disclaimer not associated with developer etc)

I have the same problem with one of my email accounts its really annoying, one of my accounts is fine with imap though... seems like dodgy email software to me. I wont pay for a 3rd party app when this functionality should work in the phone! it costs enough! come on se sort it out!

don't think they will, the bizzare thing is i tried the setting on two p900 and it worked, when i tried it on my p910 and my cousins it does not....what have SE changed to do this?
