just got my T12 from a stall in Hoxton market, be careful-been told there are a few bootleg Latvian imports,-on these fakes the '5' key doesn't work!

Forget smartphones. Forget portable gaming consoles. The Wasp T12 is the first of the new generation of speechtool: convergent, contextual, concave.
Wasp is a mysterious company. Best known for the iconic 1978 synthesiser, the R&D labs have been working on secret projects for the Costa Rican military ever since. This is the first commerical use of some of that tech, and it promises a trouser-hung revolution.
They've kept their trademark yellow and black colour scheme and wrapped it around the sharonized ceramic cast body of the T12. Sharonisation gives the surface a glib, slightly facile sheen that welcomes the hand but is mildly distracted when fingered.
Thumb the case open and you're at the helm of the T12's Full Spectrum Audio Dominance tech. Two Scrubjockey mixing desks let you mash your MP3s, while the Minesweeper sub-base system gives that full-on rude bwah soundsystem 2 Hertz decadence. An unfortunate spectral peak at 7Hz induces vomiting and mild fits with any music with BPM between 65 and 230, but the Sharonisation shrugs it off with a moue of annoyance.
Clip the case closed, and you're on the outside of a full-on wirefree zonal node. The latest pyscho-optic pixel carpet tech squeezes megawide Imax-style resolution into narrow format. Imagine sitting on a hillside overlooking Glasto's open-air cinema while wearing blinkers after five pints of scrumpy. The 7Hz resonance helps here too.
Wasp claims that advanced circuitry means you can 'cast your streamings onto TVs up to a foot or so away, but we couldn't make that feature work - the demonstration we were shown turned out to be a reflection. A company spokesman said "don't harsh my mellow".
We like: GPS-style Urban Orienteer that works anywhere on the Earth or Moon, except London (the shark-proof design interacts strongly with the denizens of the London Aquarium from up to 50km away, making them thrash like Bez in a microwave and causing the T12 to rubberize drastically).
We like: Sympiot keypad with every known single digit integer. The oversize 5 is a transparent ploy for product placement in film through the Hollywood 555 exchange. Excellent.
We don't like: Intelligent Thermotones that heat or chill the cheek according to the social ranking of your correspondent. A PR called us in mid-test, and the Thermotones emitted a soft, sticky, glutinous fluid containing tiny grains of centipede.
We don't like: WiFi multiplay pool with mercury tilt. A good idea, but once again the anti-shark mechanism interfered, this time making the pool table in our local chase and eat the landlord's elder daughter.
We don't like: the lead-enhanced T12 with 'cool-dense' 450g weights. Although this is the only model with the 'X-Ray Protection for both balls', you must wear it in the optional codpiece accessory. Chafing ensues, and incoming calls caused coagulation.
On the whole, it's a keeper. Sorry, London Aquarium. Consider training small children in wetsuits as shark replacements: the T12 might be actual size, but it's going to be big.

There's a TV series on Channel 4 in the UK called Nathan Barley (I think!), Friday at 9 I think, watch that and things will become a bit clearer.....
