guys, i bought a k7001 a few mnths back .it had o2 firmware in it as default!ie in the menu display, the 1st and 2nd icons r not the regular se icons for web browsing..it had O2's dedicates icons and when u pressit some links to O2 themes or ringtones pops up, but as i did not have wap or gprs frm where i bought it i didnt understand the significance...but now when i try to connect thru airtel's gprs it fails.
pls help...!!!
anyone...how can i delete the O2 software/programme and instil the original se one?

Where did you buy the phone from? Since the phone is branded, you should unbrand it. You can use setool.net for that.

btw, i dont know if my phone was branded or not...they just bring in these goods from nowhere and sell it!

actually i am still in maldives..my wife came toi visit me and took home my cute lil k7001 leaving behind her junk!
now she complains that she cannot use her airtel gprs....
how to make it work?

moreover, the phone is using the oldest firmware.
so i told her to goto the se s.centre there and get it upgraded.
but the fellow there told her that its possible to upgrade but impossible to delete the O2 settings...
thats when i decided to approach u guys...
u seem to know much better than those at the service centre!
pls help-..
btw this thread remains here i belive...even if i goto the reg section i'd have to open a new thread, right?
