Has anyone bought a good screen protector for their P900/P910/P910i?

I'm looking for a protector for my P900 and have bought one before for a P800 and it wasn't very good, I was wondering if you have bought one from somewhere (preferably eBay - much cheaper and easier to order with Paypal) and if yours was good or not??

There are a few on eBay but for a guess some will be crap

Also, how do you fit these to your screen PROPERLY? it seems hard to get it perfect..

Thanks a lot!
Dave

I got a cheap £2 off ebay. It works fine. You have to be careful puttiing them on but no problems with it at all. In fact writing on screen seems more accurate now.

In these posts are a wealth of information about screen protectors:

1. By Adidas, dated 2005.02.05, entitled How good is your screen protector?
2. By stewart01, dated 2005.01.20, entitled Screen protectors - don't bother with them...

Don't bother with them, i used them on my first P800 & it's like your just saving the screen for the next owner to have the full benefit. all screen protectors look a bit worse than the bare screen, my P900 lasted well over a year with no noticable screen wear, i used "handwriting input" alll the time with my fingernail with no scratching visible, also remember SE would provide them with the phone if they were needed.

There are several threads discussing the pros and cons of 'screen protectors'. Do a search and you'll find a wealth of information.

As for myself, I had a 'Brando Enhanced Protector Plus' on my P910 since day one. But I changed it after a month because it somehow affects the colors being displayed, as if it is a bit diffused.

I now have the 'Brando Ultra Clear Protector Plus', and this one really does the job. It's hardly noticeable, so what you see in an unprotected screen is what you will see even with it attached. And it's tough too. Not a single scratch on it even after all that handwriting. Plus it attaches to the screen via 'static'. Not like those cheap ones that has this adhesive that leaves a bit of residue on the screen after removal.

The 'Martin Fields Overlay Plus' is the best one out there, but it is a bit more expensive and hard to come by.

Try the new "Brando ULTRA CLEAR", it simply rocks.
Easy to apply, 99% clear, no bubbles, removable, washable, nice feeling while writing.
You don't even notice that there is a protector applied

Interesting.... I'd go for PACHY's view on this. I never had a screen protector (had a P800 and now a P910) so reading all the info available got me curious but still not sold to the idea. Now I know there's more like what I think after Pachy's post.

At the end of the day, I guess it's the way one uses the stylus and/or care for the screen. I think I'll go on without one...

Can you still use the touchpad if you had a screen protector on top??

Well on my p900 i did not use one and was shocked when one day while writing i scratched it! guess some abrasive particle got on the stylus or was on the screen. Now on my 910i i use one to be honest i feel more secure in the knowledge its safe from harm and cheaper to replace than a new screen!!
