> India to host F1 in three years!!

I'm not saying this. The man himself, Bernie Eccelstone has been quoted as saying so. Got this from NDTV news. Might be there on NDTV.com too. Although this sounds a bit far fetched at the moment- its a ray of hope nevertheless! ! :-D

yep,
here is a bbc sports news item about this where Bernie Ecclestone says that
"Calcutta (Kolkata) and Hyderabad have both been linked with a Grand Prix in the past, but Ecclestone said it would "probably end up" in Mumbai (Bombay). "
He also again mentions India's first Grand Prix driver, Narain Karthikeyan, who has joined Jordan

As far as I'm concerned, the involvement of drivers and teams from countries 'new' to Formula One can only be a good move for the future. In particular, the arrival of Narain Karthekayan (Sorry if I've spelt his name wrong !).
It's a shame (from my point of view) that the Jordan team will disappear at the end of the 2005 season, and become Midland F1 from 2006 onwards. However, this has happened before (i.e. Tyrell was taken over by B.A.R.).
Unless I'm very much mistaken (as Murray Walker might say), Turkey is included in the Grand Prix calendar in the not-too-distant future, and Russia might also be host to a race as well.
Anyways, roll on the 6th March for the Australian Grand Prix !!

Go for it, Govigov and enjoy !! I missed out on a ticket for this year's British Grand Prix, but I'm determined to attend the 2006 event, even if I have to walk there !
