I think my Opera problem was a GPRS account problem as I had noticed that I was no longer getting email from my Vodafone account either and as this uses the same GPRS Web account I have replaced the account and hey presto mail again!
But my cradle is in my office and it's the weekend and i now want to reinstall Opera can it be done without the cradle? if so please can someone tell me how?

Send the file over Bluetooth or IR and run the .sis file on your phone. Mac users don't get to use the Cradle.
