If you want to buy it handset-only with no network connection, I bought mine from http://www.mphone.co.uk/ and got a VAT export certificate to claim the vat back at customs, posted the form in the airport, after customs, before I left, and they credit the tax back on your credit card.

Cheers,

Ben

No u will have to pay for the contract for 12 months minimum tho, the phone will be yours after the 3rd billing month i think. You will also have to write a letter cancelling your contract after 12 months, a phone call donsnt end the contract

Phone calls DO end the contracts the only company asking for written confirmation is Vodafone.

We (vodafone) do this because we claim the letter never arrived and as the sender 90% of the time never had proof of postage he/ she has to send another letter and if they dont send with proof of purchase again we waste their time on average voda can screw a minimum of 90% people end up paying at least another 2 months worth of line rental prior to cutting them off! I work for vodafone thats how i know so sssshhhhhh!
