> Question on Upgrading Firmware on P900
Bookmark topic
I have got the DSS-20 and have P900 Firmware that is due an update.. Is this possible when I am on Orange?
I have just seen posts elsewhere about this not being possible but are they true, and if so have Orange decided to allow updates now?
If not and I can't update, can I use someone else's Sim to update, then put my Orange in afterwards???
Thanks!!
Dave.

well regarding your first question why dont you go the SE website and enter your CDA number and it will tell if you if an update is available.
dont know the answer to the second question because I dont understand what you mean. sorry. an update does not depend on the SIM inside the phone so im not sure what you are trying to say

right, just try it online.
the sim card is irrelevant.
you could, for example, have an orange p900, unlocked, running with t-mobile, and you'd still get the firmware update for your orange p900.
likewise, if you get a totally sim-free p900 (no network branded into it), use it with orange, and the update would be for the unbranded p900.
