I am in the market for a new phone. I currently own a Nokia 1100 GSM and want a phone with more features. I was thinking of the SE K-700 or the Z-600. I live in Mexico and the price of the K-700 is $350 and the Z-600 is $240.
I realize that the K-700 is a newer phone but is it worth the $110 difference in price. Thanks

It depends on your needs. Z600 feels like a brick in a pocket, you will always be short in memory, have poor pics, play relatively poor games, won't be able to use anything but midis for ringtone, while on k700 you have MUCH more- mp3, play videos... It's worth the money. Maybe you should wait a bit, cause new models will be released soon, so k700 price will drop. This message was posted from a T610

Yes it is. The k7 has many more features that the z6 doesn't. One example is memory. This message was posted from a T610

Their screens cannot even be compared. Not just with specifications, you must see the difference. It made me feel my t610 (almost the same as z) like piece of junk. This message was posted from a T610

Thanks for the help. You have persuaded me not to purchase the Z-600. Are there any new SE phones set to be released which will be in the same price range as the K-700. I do not want to spend more than $400 on a phone.
I plan to purchase the phone in the US when I visit family.
Sony is selling the K-700 for $350 and including a free HBN-600 Bluetooth headset. I assume that I will be able to remove the SIM chip from my Nokia 1100 and use it in the new phone. Is this correct? Does the deal at Sony seem like the best price or are there other options for an unlocked phone. I can wait if the prices will drop or a new model will come out. Thanks again for the great advice.

The clara is coming out soon. So the price of the K700 should go downhill. Have you seen some nokias? Or, are you looking only for an SE phone? This message was posted from a T230
