Everything looks much nicer. Startup and Shutdown screens are much nicer than the previous FW. The menu is like the K700i but with Z&V800 icons. This firmware adds a new menu called Entertainment, which contains Games, Music DJ, and Record sound. The menu speed is the same from the previous version. When accessing the games, the please wait screen loads a little bit faster if you have alot of games. The file manager icons has a much pleasing look to it. All the other icons has a SE look to it which is very nice. The status now shows your free memory stick memory.
The camera shutter noise is much softer than before. All picture sizes now have 4x Zoom. The brightness adjustment now has a greater affect on the picture.
Video recording now has High quality video mode under Shoot mode, which records video much better than the previous FW version (less blocky).
The External screen status icons have been replace with the same icons as the internal screen. Picture Caller ID is very nice, even though it doesn't take up the whole external screen, you can use ANIMATED GIFS for it!!

Most of the bugs from the previous firmware have been fixed, but there are some new ones.

-The startup sound is too low...needs to be a little bit louder.

-Playing one sound and then playing another sound makes a popping noise in the speaker...im guessing SE delayed the speaker to cut off for some reason.

-When in the menu, moving the organic balls to Sony Ericsson, Internet Services, or Entertainment you will see that there is a bar that is covering the organic balls a little bit...previous FW did not have this bar covering.

-Clicking on Internet services and choosing any of the links will direct you to a 403 error page...did not happen with previous firmware.

-There are alot of predefined items in the pictures folder that cannot be deleted.

-The light button now requires you to hold it at least 2 seconds before turning on when the phone is open.

-External Screen dims in 5 secs instead of ~20 secs.

Thats all for now...

Popping noise is from the speaker playing one sound and then playing another sound...camera pics are the same (Camera Driver 6.2). What are sms pictograms?
