> k700i memory issues

ok .. i had like 36791kb in my phone(k700i) 2 days ago.. and yesterday, i d/l'ed 262kb of games with wap to my phone. After d/l'ing, it said i had 36520kb left... BUT 36791-36520 = 271kb ??!?? then when i checked the memory today, it said i got 36512kb left.. what the heck
btw.. my phone is unlocked and unbranded

K700 uses same memory for storing and running apps and games, and some of them does not free all memory they used when you exit them. You can also notice this when you dl pics- they take more memory once they are opened. Anyway, turning phone off then on should release that 'running' memory for games but it's not necessary, cause you still have plenty of it.

lol.. i restarted my phone.. it's now 36448kb
i've off and on my phone several times yesterday actually.. it still desont' free up the memory
if i delete teh games.. i will get back those hidden "taken" memory right?

If those missing kb are being used by the game for 'high scores' or just to remember where you stopped, you should get it back when that particular game is deleted.

I noticed this when I got those missing kb after playing Colin Mcrae once before. It was back (missing kb) after I deleted the game.
I am assuming that it's the same case here.

As mentioned previously, most applications will indeed consume an additional amount of memory to store scores, information, saved states etc.
