Hi everyone,

I've got a Sony Digital camcorder which can record on to tape and memorycard.
The video format used when recording to memorycard is mpeg, but i can't seem to find a way of playing those recordings back on my p910.

Help anyone ?

unfortunately you will need to convert it to MP4

there are quite a few threads here about this topic, take a look at this one for example (and a suggestion on how to convert)

mpeg on p900

Have you used the option?

The Pxxx series will not play Mpeg files.

I don't think mpeg works on a cellphone. it needs some microsoft player (windows media player) maybe you can convert it to .3gp, .mp4, .ogg, whatever plays on the phone. I have a qtek and it has the windows media player and I even can't play mpeg, I convert it to .wma

Thanks for your help.

I was mistaken in thinking that MP4 was an mpeg format....guess not...

easy mistake to make. I also tried copying movies from my sony camera to a p series phone a long time ago before realising there was a difference
