Last night, I pulled my phone outta my pocket, and it was on power save with the time showing. However, the time figures didn't move around like they normally did, and any attempt to unlock the keypad failed. All othe buttons failed to respond, including the power button.

So I thought, 'oh well', and I pulled out the battery and put it back in. Now the phone doesn't turn on at all. Nothing works. It's dead. It had a full green bar, and was working okay before this. I've been reading around, and noticed that some users with older SIM cards have experienced problems, and I've had my SIM for about 5 years I think.

Anyway, looks like I'm off to the shop with this. But I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem, and more importantly, were they able to recover data from their phones?

This is especially important because on Valentine's, I met this ex-classmate whom I really fancied, but haven't seen for the past 5 years. So I gave her my business card, and she sent me a message. Thing is, I haven't got her number anywhere else but on the phone, and I was planning to give her a call and ask her out for dinner, but now I can't... I don't thik she's gonna call, cos she's probably expecting me to make the next move. I'm hoping that they'd be able to pull that number out. The next best thing would be to call my service provider and ask them to check my incoming records for a message from a few days back. Not sure if they can do it, but that's an option...

Anyway, I've had some previous experiences with the phone hanging, a few times with the bluetooth headset working irregularly, and more often when recieving incoming calls. The phone will ring and vibrate, and then it'll hang and it'll keep vibrating. Then there was this one time when I took it out of my pocket and it was super overheating. The battery was really hot and all. Thought it was gonna explode. Happened only once though.

Ok. A similar thing happened to me on the T230- the phone hanged and when i took out the battery and then tried to restart the phone, it won't switch on! But, after repeated attempts, the phone did turn on after 20 minutes. And NO data was lost from the PHONE. This message was posted from a T230
