i m totaly unsatisfied with the connection of Orange GPRS in mumbai
its bloody bhenchod i pay 100 bucks for the GPRS and at nite..due to heavy traffic i cant even open the ESATO.
thats why i had got a new topic Which Reliance handset u got ? and why...to know more about reliance connectivity as itz closed down...!!! cause of off topic...i truly agree wid dat...
but.. this GPRS connection of Orange in mumbai is useless at nite 2-3 am i get a very good access but bhenchod i juzz cant wake up every late nite to surf any wap sites...or go online thru my friends...
GPRS connection is like this or its just in india? my usage of a cell phone is dailing and receiving calls and GPRS thru which i read news surf esato etc , games, music / videos ! not for messaging and all
now is there any good network company in india which provides a good connectivity...!! i heard now a days airtel in mumbai provides a very good connectivity...the network catches anywhere...!!
i guess GPRS is not at all worth in mumbai dunno abt rest of the cities in india
i also want to know more about reliance internet and whats the difference between CDMA and 3G
lot of questions lol but this is madness i bloody pay 100 bucks and i guess its just bhenchod useless

Have you tried airtel. I'm not in Mumbai but i'm there every week. And the speeds are good.

Well i am in bombay and i use airtel gprs, i must say that none of the operators give you satisfactory speeds here in bombay, may be due to large amount of gprs users :-(

reliance R Connect isn't all that great actually.
there isn't like a constant data transfer rate, it's pretty jerky.average speeds i get are around 5-6k with a max of 10 or 11k.
but it's pretty cheap imho, so that's why i'm gonna stick to it. i don't use it to download

Orange Advanced GPRS sevice, which is called Hutch Access, costs rs 199 p.m. But they charge 50 paise for every 10 kb download. The speed is great but the additional 50 p for every 10 kb you access is a RIP OFF. I got it on a test basis for a month..Im getting rid of it today & getting an Airtel connection only for the net access. Will continue to use Orange for telephony. Too much of a hassle to communicate the new number to all my contacts
