> k700i Flashing error - Help!

Hi,
Im using SE Remote Unlocker to Flash my K700i. I just unlocked it earlier fromt he Orange network, it worked fine. Now when i go to flash it (using these files: k700r2ae_main.rar and k700r2ae_fs_eu1.rar, i get the following error...

Lost connection with phone. Try to flashing on lower speed. Close all
applications, especially ICQ and WinAmp, check the battery charge,
check cable connection and try again.
I dont have any apps open, and the battery is fully charged. Also, the current softare on my phone is 'R2AC003'. Will flashing it with the new softwaere have a big effect on the phone? Has orange really made the phone look bad? Thanks, hope you can help me!

Hello, i am unfamiliar with that client. I have many theories why that does not work. Is the battery fully charged by the way?
and you unlocked before with that cable?
Try a different set of files and see if that helps.

I think you need to unpack your files first.... a .rar extension is packed (use winrar to unpack)
I've personally not ever come across '.rar extension' flash files... see what's inside the .rar file.

I agree with Vlamm, you need to unpack the downloaded files.
Once that is done you will get two files with a .cry extension. Use those files as described in the SE Tool manual and proceed to flash your phone.
But please ensure that your mobile is FULLY charged and that the sim has been removed before you start the process.

Thank you for your replies! I did unpack the files initially, to reveal a .bin file, but when i pointed SE tool to the .bin it said '.bin file could not be found'..very strange!! However, when i point it to the rar, it seems to connect with my phone ok. Im downloading another firmware now, its EU3. Theres no .cry extensions in the rar files...im defenitely donwloading the K700 EU3 R2AE file...cannot see a .cry. Yes im using the same cable i sued to unlock it. Any ideas?

Did you download both the main firmware file as well as the EU language pack or are u just d/loading the EU pack?

Oh hang on...seems to be working now. The EU3 pack is working fine...maybe theres a problem with the EU1 one? Thanks for your help anyway guys. Cant wait to see what it looks like after flashing
