Hi,

Ive read and searched galore, but Im really unsure on this issue.
I have a k700i that is vodafone branded (UK) When I go into the service menu, its current firmware is:
R2A041 and a load of other digits underneath, but from what I read this sounds like the version.

I am looking to get it unbranded and working a little better using some new firmware as it is always switiching off and the screen goes white, and I hate the vodafone cr@p all over it.

So I have a cable and just need some links to where I can get a program to upgrade and the right firmware.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for all your help.

Do you think I will have any issue with it being Vodafone?

Do I flash then put the new firmware on?

Thanks.

Its not free but cheap enough for what you need to so, i don't think its unfair.

And NO there are no freeware programs that do that. The firmware is not just floating around, it is controlled.

gbrooks knows what he is talking about, so listen up.

@ k700iRick

SE Tool is better. I've used both. All you need to do is get yourself a T28 service cable (not data cable - this is important), buy a credit (PM gbrooks3) and you're away. I picked up a T28 service cable for £3 on eBay! You can end up unbranding your handset for under £10. Pretty good I think!
