I've got an unlocked K700i and SIMs for each network as I sometimes go to places that have dodgy reception on one or more networks, and it is important I can communicate even then.
However whenever I put in a different SIM into the phone (and enter phonelock and simlock numbers) I get that stupid language selection screen and then the phone setup screen.
I assume this is a "feature" for if the phone has been sold on and had a different sim given to it. But it is very annoying. can it be stopped?
firmware: R2AE033
Thx!

Disable phone lock and it might work.

The last question on the setup wizard, is: "should the setup wizrd run @ next start up?" If you anser no, obviously this will not occur.
Give that a try.

Thanks. I do the 'don't do setup on next restart' thing and it works if restartted with same sim, but put in different sim and setup screen comes back. Doesn't help that I think changing sims on k700i physically more difficult than on some phones. Oh well I still love k700i!

Sorry mate, thats just the feature built into the new generation

phones.
Its not annoying, but maybe you should not change sim cards that often! You may also damage your sim card with regular sim swapping...

You're probably right and I should buy three cheap mobiles, but it is a lot easier to carry 1 k700i and 3 spare sims, will be careful, cheers!
Turning phone lock off didn't help, and i don't know why the other person doesn't get same problem when swapping sims, are you swapping sims from same network?
